Make a plan.
Get permission and buy-in from key stakeholders within your organization. Download our shoe drive checklist, and work with one of our Footsteps volunteer liaisons to develop a plan and set a goal.
Many children in foster care have never had a new pair of shoes. Many need shoes that fit. Often, these children do not have the right shoes for extracurricular activities and school dances.
Your can help change this. Here are six easy steps to have a successful Footsteps shoe drive.

Band, bag, & count
Band and bag any shoes that are not in boxes to prevent scuffs, damage, and separation. Most kids have two feet!

Remember to ask.
Remember to keep asking. Ask friends, family, customers, members, supporters for shoes or funds. Checks should be made out to Foster Children's Rights Coalition.
